High Purity Holmium Sputtering Target (Ho)

Holmium sputtering targets are silver-colored metal targets composed of high-purity holmium metal. Holmium is a fusible, soft, lustrous metal. It is so reactive that it does not naturally bond together, but when separated it is relatively stable in dry air at room temperature. It can absorb neutrons and is therefore used in nuclear reactors to keep chain reactions under control. Its alloys are used in certain magnets. Hol has an atomic mass of 164.93031 amu, a melting point of 1470.0 °C (1743.15 K, 2678.0 °F), a density of 8.54, and hexagonal crystals.
