Zinc is a chemical element with an atomic number of 30. Zinc is a bluish-white, bright, antimagnetic transition metal. It is slightly less dense than iron and has a hexagonal crystal structure. Zinc is hard and brittle at room temperature, but becomes ductile at room temperatures of 100 to 150°C. It has a high degree of ductility. When the temperature exceeds 210°C, zinc becomes brittle again and can be broken. Zinc has intermediate electrical conductivity. It has a low melting and boiling point among all metals. It has the lowest melting point of any transition metal except mercury and cadmium.
